      Why Insure Your Reptile Shipment?

      Shipping live reptiles comes with inherent risks, including stress during transit, temperature fluctuations, and potential delays at cargo ports. These factors can impact the health and survival of your animals, especially during extreme weather in winter or summer. By opting for our insurance, you protect your investment and ensure peace of mind, knowing that you’re covered in the unfortunate event of a loss.

      What Does Our Insurance Cover?

      Our insurance covers the death of animals during transit from the EU to the USA while under our care. If an animal arrives deceased (DOA), we will reimburse you for the value of the affected animal, based on the insured amount.

      What Is Not Covered?

      Shipping and export costs are non-refundable under any circumstances.

      Domestic shipping within the USA is not covered by this insurance.

      If an animal arrives in poor health and we notify you of its condition prior to shipment, we are not liable for any resulting losses.

      Recommendation: To avoid disputes, we encourage you to request photos of your animals from your seller at the time they are delivered to us (the exporter).

      How Much Does Insurance Cost?

      The insurance premium is 15% of the animal’s purchase price (excluding shipping fees).

      You have the flexibility to insure all or part of your shipment. Simply specify the total value of the animals you wish to insure.
      Example: If you insure five animals valued at €1,000 (insurance cost: €150) and one animal arrives DOA, reimbursement will be provided only for the deceased animal’s insured value, not the entire shipment.

      Key Conditions
      Insurance must be added before the shipment departs. You can add it at any time prior to shipping.

      If we notify you of an animal’s poor health before shipment, we are not liable for losses related to that animal.

      Domestic USA shipping is not covered.
